@@LowHeatBeats ok here's probem: i used my simpler to chop it up but somehow my midi still hit the wrong spot

@@LowHeatBeats for example , when i push the pad 1 it activate at slice 4 instead slice 1

@@bruceisdabatman The first slice on Simpler corresponds to the note C1, so if you press pad 1 and it triggers slice 4, then the pads on your MPD are configured to send different notes that they should. The MPD should have an editor that enables you to change the notes. I'd do a factory reset and make sure it's enabled as a control surface in Ableton, this should correct any wrong settings and make it work properly.

It already works with Live 12, there's no need for a compatibility update. As far as the effects go, I think the only new effect is Roar and I don't think it would add anything suitable for this particular rack. But maybe I can make a different effect rack that would take advantage of it? Thank you for the suggestion!

Absolutely you can do pretty much all of it on Push 2! My Push 3 was on loan from Ableton and I had to send it back after the loan period ended. I didn't buy one for myself because my Push 2 does everything I need and I'm still using it. So Push 2 is really good value and if you don't need standalone, it would be a great purchase. Thank you for buying the packs, your support is highly appreciated!

This isn't unique to the Minilab though. Any MIDI controller will have latency if you don't use a low latency driver in your DAW. On Mac you have these built-in, while on PC you have two options - buy an audio interface with a good ASIO driver, or try using ASIO4All with your built-in soundcard. It will give you acceptable latency but not as good as having a proper audio interface.

I explained this in my recent video about the NI Summer of Sound sale - basically my feeling is that new Maschine hardware won't be coming out this fall. But only people at NI know for sure, I don't have any inside info.

That's my preferred method as well - I record straight into Ableton Live. But I'm showing how to do it with the Chrome extension because it's a universal method that will work for everyone, while setting up loopback will vary from interface to interface and it's also different on Mac OS and Windows.

You can achieve a similar result with an LFO modulating the filter but recording it manually is more expressive.

It's really good, it sounds very much like the OG Micro. The XL has a bigger sound pallete, because it can make all the sounds the MicroKORG can make + more. But the VST is much more convenient. I haven't used the XL in a while, maybe I should bring it back.

I hear you man, but I only had it for a month when it was released. It was on loan from Ableton and I had to send it back. I considered buying it but I couldn't justify it, since I don't use any of the new features and my Push 2 does what I need. I may get one in the future, but in the mean time everything in my Push 2 videos works the same on the 3.

Yeah, but it's even better - If you hit the convert button to turn any pad in the Drum Rack into a separate Simpler track and play any melodic part with all 64 pads.

I’m not really interested in standalone mode. I’m considering it to replace my Maschine. I’m starting to really like sequencing in Live with this latest update. It’s really powerful and fast.
